This website was first launched in October 2018 as part of a doctoral research project funded by the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG) through the Digital Arts and Humanities Scholarship programme. It was hosted by the Insight Centre for Data Analytics from its launch until September 2021.

Permission to digitise the text of the Würzburg glosses as they appear in Thesaurus Palaeohibernicus was kindly granted by the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies in 2017. Digitisation was facilitated by Brendan Duffy in the NUIG library. The resulting text was then proofed and corrected by Adrian Doyle.

The technical production of this website and database, as well as tokenisation, part-of-speech tagging and all other annotation of the digital text of the glosses, were carried out by Adrian Doyle. Where a "New Reading", "New Translation", or "Site Notes" appear beneath a gloss, the contents of these sections were provided by Adrian Doyle unless stated otherwise in the site notes.
